Japan world cup game
I might've been inspired to pick more fights if Outlaws' combat was fun. In a firefight, aiming Kay's blaster felt stiff and overly reliant on aim assist (I played on controller). https://apcspanishschool.com/what-does-mhm-represent-social-platforms-messages-beyond/ Nailing headshots was easy to the point of boring, and Stormtroopers made no attempt to take cover for flank Kay. They mostly just stood still next to one of a dozen explosive barrels on every battlefield.
But, Kay isn’t alone in this endeavor, either. The first trailer introduced us to her loyal companion, Nix, a four-legged furry alien who embodies Star Wars creature design at its finest. You'll also be adventuring alongside a trenchcoat-wearing commando droid called ND-5, as you gather a team for a big heist mission.
Of course, the fantasy in this case is that you're a galactic outlaw, and that's how the open world design works here – you're learning about opportunities for scores both big and small, and taking advantage of them when your moment comes along. It filters down into the moment-to-moment action, too, where your attempts at stealth might suddenly break into open combat, and you can make improvisational use of enemy weapons or your buddy Nix to even the odds.
In Star Wars Outlaws, you play as Kay Vess, a young scoundrel living on the casino world of Canto Bight with dreams of hitting a big score and living life on her own terms. Kay’s traumatic past left her with no family and no one to rely on — except for her adorable companion Nix, an alien creature that’s kind of like a cross between a dog and a pangolin.
Star wars open world game
Star Wars Outlaws does not feature multiplayer. Instead, it's a single player, open world action game, in the same vein as Watch Dogs or Assassin's Creed. You'll get to visit five planets, and can even fly up into space to plunder shipwrecks and other treasures.
Kay Vess, her merqaal companion Nix must travel across these worlds securing work with the shady cartels that inhabit the dark shadow cast by the Galactic Empire, meeting new and familiar faces from the greater Star Wars universe.
Over the additional 15 hours it took to complete the game’s critical path, those hopes didn’t pan out. Star Wars Outlaws is a visually beautiful experience set in a compelling franchise setting, but the things you actually do in the game are so simple and same-y that they just don’t generate interest or momentum. Before too long, only the main story felt rewarding enough to bother with.
Set between Star Wars: Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode 6 - Return of the Jedi. Star Wars Outlaws takes place during a tumultuous time in the Star Wars setting. The Rebellion is in full swing, and The Galactic Empire is fighting tooth and nail to hold on to power. It's a tense situation but, much to the advantage of rogues like Vess, it's also a chance to make a bit of cash if you play your cards right.
I left my first 15-ish hours with Star Wars Outlaws feeling not fully enthused, but hopeful that the game would turn out to be a good time. The protagonist, Kay Vess, was starting to grow on me as a character. I was enjoying the look and feel of the various Star Wars locations the game goes to.
Who wins the world series game today
The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history and first since 2020 on Wednesday night, coming back from a five-run deficit to complete a Hollywood ending to their season.
These Dodgers of Ohtani, Freeman & Betts joined the 1955 Duke Snider and Roy Campanella Boys of Summer, the Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale era that spanned the three titles from 1959-65, the Tommy Lasorda-led groups 1981 and ’88 and the Betts and Clayton Kershaw champions of 2020.

On the pitching side, there was a new injury seemingly every week. Yamamoto missed months and there were real concerns about him being done for the season due to a serious right shoulder injury. Gavin Stone went down for the year. So did Clayton Kershaw. Late in the season, they found out Glasnow would be forced to miss the rest of his season. The spate of injuries ran so long that Roberts decided to hold a meeting in Atlanta in September.

“We always talk about it,” he said. “We were down 2-0 and we still said, ‘Hey, this (expletive) ain’t gonna be easy, but this is what we’re made for. Who doesn’t want to make history? (Expletive). I know I love making history. I love writing my name in the history books and being a a part of it. So let’s do it.”
Energy at Yankees stadium definitely deflated a bit after the top of the fifth inning. But hope is still alive with a couple of guys here just saying, “we got a game” as we all wait for the Yankees to take their next at bat.
Bringing Weaver into the game in the seventh was early, but it was in the biggest spot — and unless something went wrong for the Yankees, it would be the last they’d see of Betts and Freeman on the night.
"Well one, I was happy it was an out. … I think it definitely was one of those moments like here we are, this is a big game. You know Mookie played for the Red Sox for a long time, he's played a lot of games at Yankee Stadium and I’m sure they’ve given him a hard time throughout his career. So it was one of those moments like here we are, let’s go."
Chisholm was referencing a specific postgame discussion from Monday night, when the Yankees dropped Game 3 to go down 3-0 in the series. But actually, he said, it started back in Los Angeles after Game 2.
